“I have become a pilgrim to cure myself of being an exile.” -G. K. Chesterton
Aaron Telian
I'm a clumsy Christian on a journey of discipline and discovery with Jesus. As a recovering Pharisee, I'm learning to trust God's grace over my goodness. I love the world, and I'm excited about learning what it means to be salt and light in a Post-Christian culture. This is where I write about living the sojourn.

"Once the principle is admitted that it is duty of government to protect the individual against his own foolishness, no serious objections can be advanced against further encroachments." - Ludwig von Mises
This priciple seems flawed in my view. Government cannot protect an individual from his own foolishness, the Lord helps in this arena. It seem to me the role of government is to protect an individual from the foolishness of another.
Yes, the principle is flawed. That is the point. Our Government operates on this principle more often than many of us realize. Take Social Security, or building permits, for example.
