My writing and thinking may be influenced by my degree, in the same way it might be influenced if I had Cheerios for breakfast instead of scrambled eggs. This is not the point.

My purpose in having this blog is not to parade my scholarship or press my views, but rather to write for the sheer joy of it and to "get out" the thoughts inside that demand expression. These thoughts and the writing that brings them alive are not haphazard results of random events: they are (in the main) a carefully synthesized response to a world I have observed and read about since kindergarten.

Your second point is pretty close to what I had in mind when I denounced charity with "strings."Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16511120181544360746noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31175562.post-57231171109463569712007-05-22T04:54:00.000-07:002007-05-22T04:54:00.000-07:00I wonder if you would write or think differently i...I wonder if you would write or think differently if you did not have a degree in "Christian" journalism from a "Bible" college.

And some do only give the glass of water to 'prove' something about the 'goodness' of their religion while others give the glass of water because they care for people.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
